Coast Guard Festival

Coast Guard Festival starts today and goes all thru next week Sunday. Come on down to the waterfront stadium tonight at 7:00 to rock out at the Battle of the Bands. It costs two bucks and is brought to you by RIT Music. The rest of the events schedule can be found here.

Earth’s Edge on RapidGrowth

There’s a story on the Grand Rapids Rapid Growth site about the Grand Landing development, more particularly, Earth’s Edge’s plans for a boathouse along the stretch of riverfront to be used for rentals, demos and such. It sounds great, I’m already looking forward to spending some time paddling around.

I’ll refrain from making any disparaging remarks about Korey’s intelligence, but I am wondering why Grand Haven has never established a Polar Bear Club. I think it would go over well as a charity event and a great addition to the roster of Winterfest events. Thoughts? Leave a comment.
